Oil Can Boyd

Was a very succesful pitcher for the Red Sox during the '85 and '86 seasons

Has had many solid years in the majors, hitting for average with power

Roger Clemens

5 Cy Youngs and 1 MVP award. 1 of the 100 greatest players of all time

Cecil Cooper

Many good seasons with Boston and Milwaukee, including a number of gold gloves at 1B

Was an all star 3rd baseman with the Red Sox in the early 90s

Nicknamed "Psycho" for his agressive play, one of the most successful utility players of all time

A very succesful SS/3B with the Sox from '90-'97, but ended his career with the Sox with a nagging injury

Bobby Ojeda

Spent most of his career pitching for Boston and the Mets. Won the world series with the Mets in 1986

Phil Plantier

International League rookie of the year winner and home run champ. Traded to the Padres after the '92 season

Jody Reed

Good 2nd baseman for Boston, led the league in doubles in 1990

Jim Rice

Great hitter for the Red Sox, winning the MVP in 1978, and an All Star for 8 seasons

Ken Ryan

A good reliver for the Red Sox from '92-'95, and traded to the Phillies after the 1996 season

Aaron Sele

5 good years pitching for the Red Sox from '93-'97, and went 19-11 with Texas in '98

Jeff Suppan

A succesful pitcher incall ups with the Red Sox, but lost in the expansion draft. He is still floating around the majors

John Tudor

Went 8-5 with a 3.03 ERA for Boston in 1980 and did not have a losing record during the 1980s. Was 21-8 with a 1.93 ERA to pitch St. Louis to the 1985 World Series. Also pitched for the Pirates & Dodgers going 105-68 with a 3.18 ERA in his career.

John Valentin

One of the best hitting shortstops in the 90s, moved to 3rd base in '97. A very good doubles hitter

Mo Vaughn

A great power hitter for the Red Sox, won MVP in 1995. Left for the Angels after the '98 season
